Not much to say here, as there's a description in the file itself.
This evolved out of my Dynamic, Interactive Creature-Experiment.
You'd better read the instructions in the file at first if you want to know whats going on^^

Everytime you start this it'll be different. You'll probably never get two identical creatures!

The creatures you have at the beginning are usually quite slow and need some time to reach the goal (touching the right, then the left and then the right border again), but after 2-3 rounds there'll probably some quite fast guys.

Try different terrain-types (drag the grey dots to change the surface)! Creatures that live on a flat surface usually look different from the ones that have to climb a few mountains.
Though, it's better to let them evolve on a flat surface for some time before creating higher hills; at the beginning they are usually not that fit for steep slopes.

If you want to, you can also manipulate the simulation by deleting creatures (just click on their body). You shouldn't delete all of them, though^^

Have fun watching them!

Flash 8 required!
Zoom in to play.

Inspired by something I saw on a flash website years ago, but can't find it anymore :/

Daily DeviationEver wanted to affect the way things evolve? Evolution by ~Sebioff allows you to do just that. This is just one of many great interactive Flash experiments in Sebioff's gallery so I advise you to take a look! (Suggested by ~R4PTOR-89 and Featured by ^Age2003)

This reminds me of a simulation Richard Dawkins once programmed. So called Biomorphs. You get five andom biomorphs and choose one which gets "siblings" which vary a bit again from the parentmorph. If you do this long enough you get morphs wich are very specilised in probebly "looking like a bird" or such.

Very interresting, anyway. I did it for 196 rounds.
By the way. I now remind the name of Dawkins program. It was called "the blind watchmaker"

:XD: Congratulations on this- it's so cool! I played for 85 rounds (I wasn't actually there all the time) with a flat surface, and got a huge bodied creature with massive legs and tiny feet.

This is really, really awesome. I didn't even delete a single one and it was masses of fun!

Why is "plan B" always the better one? My "Plan B" is right here --> [link]

Mankind is just one animal with lots of legs and no brain.
I googled it and found a java-version of that program. Interesting!
Yeah, the huge bodied ones are usually the best on flat surfaces^^
I'm glad you liked it :)
Wow, this is so much fun, for the flat land I've got this speedy little guy whopretty much cartwheels all the way and hasn't been

I played for about 100 rounds on a completly flat surface. I ended up with a creature with a large (but not quite huge) body and long legs.
